I believe in a world where parents don’t have to choose between thriving at work and at home.
So I’ve made it my mission to empower you to create career paths that honor both your professional ambitions and family priorities.
It’s ok to want to work after you have a baby.
And it’s ok to be mad at just how hard that can be.
If companies want a diverse workforce that retains top talent,
they have to come up with a way to support families and normalize this stage of life.
There’s nothing too taboo for the workplace.
If it’s something people face, we should know how to talk about and support that a work.
There’s no one-size-fits-all solution.
There are infinite ways to approach work and parenthood across families and seasons of life... What matters is what works for you now.
ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Kaleana

A benefits leader turned founder, wellbeing advocate, and working parent on a mission to change the way we think about work and caregiving. My story isn’t unique - it’s shared by millions of parents who’ve faced the same question: How do I succeed in both my career and my role as a parent?

After spending over a decade “climbing the corporate ladder”, my whole world shifted when I gave birth to our first son (during the pandemic, no less). It was such a confusing and stressful time, the reality of parenthood only made easier by the fact that I worked remote, at the time. When I got pregnant with my second son less than two years later, I was at my breaking point in my VP level role. I felt like I was failing all around - falling behind on my job, my family, and my relationships.

I considered...

Proposing part time work,
but had no idea what that would look like - as there were no leadership examples of this in my company (or outside of it).

Consulting,
but that was an extremely daunting process (which I did navigate, more on that).
Read Stories
Pausing completely, talking to many women who had–
but who had many concerns about their future re-entry into the workforce.

My approach is rooted in empathy, equity, and authenticity.

The stories, hardships, and lessons I learned from the countless working women and men I talked to all fell into the same limbo....

Parents

Parents can thrive in their careers and at home—but it takes reimagining work structure with the right tools and the confidence to believe it’s possible. By learning from the stories and lessons of those who’ve paved the way, you’ll see that you’re not alone—and that you can do this too.

Workplace

must do more to support working parents, from part-time leadership roles to meaningful benefits. A lot of leaders want to reimagine team structure but just don’t know how.

Now, I help parents balance

Explore options to “Stay, Split, or Step Away” from their careers, whether they’re curious about reducing hours to part time work, consulting, or taking a career break.
I’m also passionate about working with companies to create family-friendly benefits that prioritize equity and inclusion.
At the heart of my work is one simple belief: We shouldn’t have to choose between being great parents and having fulfilling careers. If you’ve ever felt stuck trying to find that balance, know that you’re not alone. I’ve been there, and I’m here to help.
